Report: Missouri reinstates QB Maty Mauk

Missouri QB Maty Mauk is back with the team after a four-week suspension.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Mauk was reinstated from his indefinite suspension on Sunday. He was suspended before Missouri's game against South Carolina for a violation of team rules. The cause of the suspension has not been made public.

Mauk, a junior, missed games against the Gamecocks, Florida, Georgia and Vanderbilt. Missouri beat South Carolina but has lost the last three. And in those last three, the Tigers haven't scored a touchdown. Missouri is No. 5 in scoring defense but No. 126 in scoring offense. That has to be one of the largest discrepancies in the history of college football.

He was replaced by freshman Drew Lock at quarterback. It's no stretch to say that, as Missouri hasn't found the end zone, Lock has struggled. According to the Dispatch, it's unclear where Mauk will be on the depth chart. Missouri is off this week to prepare for a Thursday night game against Mississippi State on November 5.

Mauk was 57-110 for 654 yards passing with six touchdowns and four interceptions before his suspension. Lock is currently 77-152 for 763, three touchdowns and three interceptions.

Missouri is 4-4 and 1-4 in the SEC.
